Kings of Leon return with their new single My Whole World, the opening preview from their tenth studio project, titled O My Beloved.
The Nashville-based rock veterans—Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill along with their cousin Matthew Followill—express gratitude toward family and friends as they unveil the successor to 2024’s Can We Please Have Fun.
Frontman Caleb commented: “We’ve already exceeded anything we ever imagined accomplishing, and we’ve built something that feels truly special.”
“I began to think it would be beautiful to create an album that looks back on everything we’ve done and acknowledges how we got to this point.”
“In these songs you’ll hear our families, childhood memories, moments that might have seemed small at the time, but the way they surface in these tracks helps me see how deeply they shaped my life.”
On My Whole World, Caleb sings with sincere gratitude: “As the wind blows there goes
“my whole world”
“Like a ray of sunshine
“I’m grateful today for
“my whole world”
“That sweet peace of mind.”
O My Beloved is slated for release on November 6.
Following Can We Please Have Fun, the band renowned for Sex on Fire hoped to spark inspiration for “the next generation.”
Caleb told Sky News: “I feel like at this stage the objective is to craft something that motivates the next generation.”
“It’s a bit difficult because people don’t always look to the grown-ups for answers. So we listen to the kids, and we draw inspiration from what they’re doing.”
