Lorenzo Senni is back in the spotlight with news of a new project after a six-year hiatus, unveiling his forthcoming album All Ages, scheduled to arrive on Warp next month. The record includes a collaboration with Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu on one track, and on the opening cut, Senni invites two of the most prominent figures in American skateboarding.
“Art Life & Skateboarding,” which also serves as the lead single for the album, propels a tense, dramatic trance-backed beat while spoken passages are delivered by Chad Muska and Jamie Thomas. Senni intentionally chose these two skaters for this feature — Muska, once famed for his party lifestyle, and Thomas, who follows a straightedge path. “They embody opposite traits within something I hold dear, skateboarding,” Senni explains. “Their meeting creates something truly beautiful.”
