Mark Ronson Honors Amy Winehouse at Back to Black’s 20th Anniversary Performance

October 22, 2026

Mark Ronson marked the 20th anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s legendary album Back to Black with a dedicated celebration performance.

The event unfolded at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, serving as a one-night tribute to the 20th anniversary of the late singer’s album, Back to Black.

“I only know Camden through Amy’s perspective, so here we are — we’re standing in Amy’s own ‘house’ tonight,” Mark Ronson told the crowd.

“I know you’re here because of the love you have for Amy and her songs, and we’re deeply honoured to join you in celebrating her tonight.”

Ronson was the co-producer of Winehouse’s Back to Black album alongside Salaam Remi in 2006.

“I still can’t believe I had a hand in that record… I grasp how meaningful it is to so many people,” he commented.

The evening delivered a complete live rendition of the acclaimed album, backed by a lineup of guest vocalists—Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jorja Smith, FLO, Nia Smith and Skye Newman—alongside the Amy Winehouse Band, which comprised her original touring and studio musicians.

Each artist lent their own distinctive touch to Winehouse staples such as Rehab, Tears Dry on Their Own and Love is a Losing Game.

For the closing number, Ronson invited all the performers back to the stage for a track not included on Back to Black but long associated with Winehouse, exclaiming, “This is Valerie!”

Winehouse passed away on 23 July 2011 at 27, after being found dead in her Camden home. Alcohol poisoning was cited as the cause of her “death by misadventure.”
