MNEK cancels tour amid overly ambitious scheduling

October 21, 2026

MNEK has scrapped his forthcoming tour just a month before the first show was due to take place.

The British singer and producer, whose birth name is Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike, was slated to embark on a tour promoting his latest album Bulldozer!!, with dates set to begin in three weeks.

In a post on X, the 31-year-old told followers he had some disappointing news and announced that the tour would be cancelled.

He explained that the budgeting had become unstable, ticket sales were not strong enough, and the production wasn’t yet up to the standard he wants for his performances.

He added that he was now among a wave of artists cancelling tours due to soaring production costs, overly ambitious planning, and weighing up whether taking a loss is worth it for a show that may not do the material justice.

The singer noted that he had been genuinely excited to perform his new material but would not proceed unless he could deliver it properly.

He thanked fans who had purchased tickets and promised refunds would be issued soon, mentioning that he would be back.

MNEK’s itinerary included venues across the UK and Europe, with tickets starting at roughly £30.

The singer-songwriter began his journey in music after landing his first publishing deal at the age of 14.

He has collaborated with artists such as Beyoncé, Zara Larsson and Madonna before releasing his debut studio album Language in 2018, and fans had waited eight years for Bulldozer!!, which arrived just last month.
