The event, staged at Cineworld Leicester Square, brought out the band’s lineup — Bonehead, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, Mike Moore, and Christian Madden — along with friends, family, and notable names from music, sport, and entertainment, including Johnny Marr, Bobby Gillespie, Sienna Miller, and Jack Grealish. For fans outside the capital, simultaneous screenings were held at the Odeon Trafford Centre in Manchester and Cineworld in Dublin.
Magna Studios produced the film, with Sony Music Vision presenting, and the documentary follows the band’s reunion trek, Oasis Live ’25. Conceptualized by Steven Knight, an Oscar-nominated screenwriter known for Peaky Blinders, and directed by the same duo who brought Meet Me in the Bathroom, the feature delivers an intimate look at one of the most talked-about rock ’n’ roll comebacks in recent memory.
Across its narrative, the film documents the lead-up, rehearsals, and the emotional burden of the stadium tour, blending behind-the-scenes material with access to live performances. A highlight is the first on-camera conversations in more than two decades between Noel and Liam Gallagher, delving into their creative partnership, family dynamics, and the worldwide cultural resonance of their catalog across generations.
On the production side, the crew comprises a premier technical team, including Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick) and Tarn Willers (The Zone of Interest), along with cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos (Belfast).
Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger premieres in a selection of UK cinemas and IMAX® venues on 9 September 2026, ahead of an exclusive streaming rollout on Disney+ internationally and Hulu.
