Buckcherry’s U.S. itinerary was interrupted by a deadly, multi-vehicle crash involving their tour bus as they were en route for the band’s North American dates.
The rock outfit disclosed via social media that their tour bus was involved in the incident in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
"We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed," the band wrote on their Instagram Stories.
"Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality."
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life," they continued. "We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support."
The South Carolina Department of Transportation reported an incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed on the I-26 motorway, according to local news outlets.
After the pedestrian exited his vehicle, he was allegedly struck by a Toyota sedan and pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash occurred while Buckcherry members—frontman Josh Todd, guitarist Stevie D, bassist Kelly LeMieux, drummer Francis Ruiz and guitarist Billy Rowe—were traveling for their Roar Like Thunder Tour.
The band behind the hit Crazy B**ch’ are expected to continue with their scheduled performances as planned.
