Phoebe Bridgers has had to cancel a string of U.K. gigs after being hospitalized with appendicitis.
The American singer-songwriter confirmed the last-minute cancellations on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, telling fans she would make amends.
She noted that she developed appendicitis on her birthday and added that the UK shows scheduled for this week would need to be moved, promising to make it up to her audience.
In addition to the update, Bridgers—who turned 32 on Monday—shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed with an IV drip.
The artist behind Motion Sickness was set to perform in Kingston, London on Wednesday, before heading to Brighton on Thursday and wrapping up the intimate run in Bristol on Friday.
Banquet Records, the Kingston venue, said they were coordinating with her global teams and would provide an update on the rescheduled performances.
The intimate concerts had been announced just a week earlier and coincided with the release of Bridgers’ third solo album, Lost Weekend, which dropped last Friday.
Bridgers did manage to play during her U.K. trip before the hospital admission, delivering two shows at Union Chapel in London earlier this week, where she offered a selection of new songs from the album.
She is due to launch the North American leg of her Lost Tour next month, before returning to the U.K. and Europe in November and December. The U.K. and Ireland dates are planned to include a stop at Dublin’s 3Arena, Manchester’s Co-op Live and London’s The O2.
