The relentlessly energized Toronto pop-punkers PUP continue to deliver punchy, visually striking videos, and today they add another to the catalog. It’s been roughly a year since PUP released their album Who Will Look After The Dogs?, and it appears that longtime collaborator Sterling Larose spent that span crafting the clip for the album track “Concrete.” That video lands today, alongside a fresh PUP song.
PUP’s new track “If This Is It” is not a Huey Lewis & The News cover. Instead, it’s a melodic eruption that originated from the Who Will Look After The Dogs? sessions. As for the “Concrete” video, it unfolds as a dizzying stop-motion collage built from fake magazine pages, a piece that will make you seriously nostalgic for a time when you had to physically pick up a magazine to read about music. See both pieces below.
Who Will Look After The Dogs? is out now on Rise.
