Quavo unveils QRÖMELIFE, a project loaded with a constellation of guest artists.
Pharrell Williams serves as executive producer, guiding the project, while Offset, A$AP Rocky, Future, Lil Baby, Tyler, The Creator, Yung Miami, Justin Timberlake and T.I. contribute, forming a roster that feels like a rap-pop superteam.
The collection marks a fresh phase for Quavo, merging the melodic flair he’s known for, the Atlanta sound that helped propel him onto a global stage, and a willingness to experiment cultivated through numerous collaborations. He and Pharrell dedicated over a year and a half to shaping the album, with sessions spanning from Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters to a Miami yacht.
QRÖMELIFE kicked off its rollout in Paris with HAAVIN, made its debut at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2027 Men’s Show, and was followed by Quavo’s release of Trance, before the live premiere of Backwards featuring T.I. at WWE’s Sunday Night Main Event.
The new project arrives soon after Quavo discussed the future of Migos. After years of speculation, he confirmed that he and Offset will reunite for one final group endeavor that will incorporate posthumous vocals from Takeoff, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 28.
Quavo told V-103’s DJ Greg Street earlier this month: “We’re coming back. We’re going to do it one more time. Long live the Rocket … There’s more. We’re going to tour. We’re going to do it right.”
He later expanded on the plan in an interview with Hot 97’s Nessa, saying the album will properly honor Takeoff: “We want to make sure we honor him and equip the project with the tools that make the music sound as if he were here.”
Quavo added: “We owe the fans at least the music. What he was working on and what we still had. The legacy must still go on.”
The forthcoming record will follow Culture III, released in 2021. A tour is also in the works.
