Report: Jay-Z to Headline the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show

October 21, 2026

Jay-Z is expected to take the stage at next year’s Super Bowl.

As the decision-maker for halftime talent through his Roc Nation entertainment company, the rapper has chosen himself to headline the show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on 14 February 2027.

The report was published by Puck.

Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber were among the names previously floated as contenders for the prestigious slot, according to TMZ.

With two performances scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday at SoFi Stadium, he is anticipated to reveal his Super Bowl plans during the events. If true, it would mark his first appearance at the marquee U.S. football spectacle.

His wife Beyoncé, mother of their three children, headlined the halftime show at Super Bowl 2013 in New Orleans, and later appeared as a special guest with Bruno Mars during Coldplay’s headlining turn at Super Bowl 2016 in Santa Clara.

Jay-Z has just completed a strong 2026 tour run, including two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium in New York in July.

Roc Nation, founded in 2008, and its 2019 partnership with the NFL were described as an effort to “enhance the league’s live game experiences and lead social justice initiatives.”

In 2024, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell extended the collaboration for a further five years.
