Steady Holiday Reveals New Album It’s Your Trip; Listen to ‘New Generation’

September 6, 2026

Several years have passed since Steady Holiday, the solo project headed by Los Angeles musician Dre Babinski, released the album Newfound Oxygen. Babinski followed that record with last year’s standalone single “Seasonal Optimism.” Later this autumn, she will release It’s Your Trip, a new album shaped by the transformative experience of becoming a parent.

Babinski recorded It’s Your Trip with producer Kosta G. The lead single, “New Generation,” is an effervescent, jazzy chamber-pop track with lyrics that feel heartbreakingly relatable: a desire to restore faith in a world that won’t disappoint and to believe in a world that can make you feel proud. Here’s Babinski’s own take:

It’s Your Trip charts my initial impressions of parenthood, filtered through the blur of postpartum. Ideally, the record would linger on the messy yet magnificent sides of becoming a new parent, if I had the time to explore them fully. Instead, this is a concise reflection on a new chapter and the (mostly) welcome new identities that accompany it. It isn’t all roses, nor all gloom. True to Steady Holiday’s spirit, it sits somewhere in between.

The video for “New Generation,” directed by Isaac Ravishankara, presents an whimsical yet radiant vision of what it means to care for a young child. Watch it below, along with the album’s tracklist.
