Taylor Swift has been nominated for Single of the Year at the 2026 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.
The Shake It Off star, who launched her career in country music before becoming a global pop icon, leaned back into her country roots earlier this year with I Knew It, I Knew You for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack.
This marks Swift’s CMA recognition for Single of the Year for the track, yielding her first CMA nod in four years and her first nomination in this category in thirteen years.
In addition, she earned a nomination for Video of the Year for her collaboration with Chris Stapleton, I Bet You Think About Me, in 2022, and her most recent Single of the Year nod was for Highway Don’t Care with Tim McGraw in 2013.
Swift, whose last CMA win came in 2017, is being profiled alongside Cody Johnson for The Fall, Somewhere Over Laredo by Lainey Wilson, and Ella Langley, who holds two Single of the Year nominations for Be Her and Choosin’ Texas.
Langley tops this year’s field with nine nominations, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Dandelion, Music Video of the Year, and two nominations in Song of the Year.
She revealed the nominations on her Instagram Stories, writing, “What an honour @cma,” accompanied by a heart and an emotional emoji.
The coveted Entertainer of the Year prize will pit Langley, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs against one another.
Miranda Lambert trails with seven nominations, while Kacey Musgraves has five.
The 60th CMA Awards will broadcast live on ABC and Disney+ from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on 18 November.
