Two of the most buzzworthy names in modern hyperpop, glaive and Tiffany Day, are currently touring together, and they teased this collaboration last month by sharing a San Francisco appearance to unveil their joint single “MEANT TO BE.” The track lands today, and it sounds decidedly sublime. It eschews restraint by embracing a maximalist approach while gradually ramping up the instrumental intensity and weaving glitchy vocal effects that amplify the raw emotional intensity of both singers’ performances.
