Travis Kelce has opened up about his wedding to Taylor Swift, describing it as a magical affair.
The Chiefs tight end spoke about their nuptials during the newest episode of the New Heights podcast, which dropped on Wednesday.
He flashed the new gold wedding band to his brother Jason and quipped that they’re a little over a month out from the date, noting how much fun it has been and wishing the moment could have lasted longer, as if it slipped by in the blink of an eye.
It’s been almost two months since he and the Shake It Off singer tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, with the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs player saying their vows in front of about 1,000 guests.
It’s a night they will always remember, he added. Taylor and I are incredibly grateful for everyone who attended—from the vows to simply seeing all the faces, to the fun we had throughout the evening, and hearing how others recount the night. It was utterly magical, man.
The guest list sparkled with stars, including Brad Pitt, Paul McCartney, Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, and Sabrina Carpenter, among many others.
Addressing the no-phones policy inside the venue, Kelce said it was refreshing to see people interact without devices, adding that the policy helps everyone stay present in the moment.
It was so cool seeing people from my childhood not only blend with Taylor and her circle—her family and friends and collaborators—but also with the people we’ve encountered through our careers and whom we admire as people, and who’ve become good friends with us now.
The athlete first spoke publicly about the wedding last month, offering brief remarks to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp in Missouri.
