It's been a while since we last spoke, so we thought we'd give you an ( albeit overdue!) update on what we’ve been up to....
Andy has just produced the new Fink album for Ninja tunes.. It's out now, is fantastic and is certainly worth checking out... He's also been scoring adverts, movie soundtracks and writing & producing songs for his new band lunaseeds ... You can check them out at http://www.myspace.com/lunaseeds It’s early days for the band but live dates are coming soon and new songs will constantly be posted on the myspace page....
Lou has just completed recording her second solo album entitled Bloom... The album will be released in the UK and Australia on October 1 and will be preceded by a single ‘The Rain” on September 24... The single also includes a new interpretation of ‘Gabriel’ and a cover of the Eliott Smith song
‘Satellite’ ..... Bloom is the follow up to her Mercury Music Prize nominated debut album ‘Beloved One’... You can hear songs, see videos and check out forthcoming live dates at Lou’s new website http://www.lourhodes.com
Lamb’s final ever show at the Paradiso club in Amsterdam was filmed and recorded, and we’re currently planning to release it on DVD at the beginning of the new year.... Updated news on the release will be on both our sites... |

die DVD klingt eher nach restenverwertung und wird ja irgendwie seit zwei jahren versprochen. interessant finde ich da eher lou rhodes zweiten release... - allerdings wohl wie das erste album schwer im folk-bereich.... - mal schauen.
obwohl da nur von UK-release die rede ist am 1. okt., ist sie auf dieses datum auch bei cede.ch geführt, also auch hier erhätlich.
ich hab mir jedenfalls gerade küzlich ihr erstes album occasion erstanden - mit trip-hop hat's ja nichts mehr zu tun, aber ihre stimme mag ich einewäg.. ah, hier das review von grimsey.
wie ich grad sehe, hat sie auch schon für CINEMATIC ORCHSTRA gesungen - ev. kommt sie ja auch ins moods... 
so, nun aber zu more than mode...

ah, die lou-featuers sind auf dem jüngsten orchestra-album..? weiss jemand, wie die klingen..? als orchestra-newbie wären die noch interessant für mich... - dann kauf' ich vielleicht doch das als erstes album von denen.

ökök... :) das war der ursprünglich plan und auch der tipp von COZ - dann eben die... ;)
dachte nur ev. hört man da die rhodes mal wieder mit was anderem als akustikinstrumenten.

Die Luna-Seeds-Sachen tönen ja wirklich sehr gut. Ausser den beiden Songs auf myspace scheinen sie wohl noch nicht viel zu haben, zumindest wurde auf last.fm sonst noch nichts gescrobbelt.

also nur wegen lou die cd zu kaufen lohnt sich nicht. die stimme haltet sich doch eher zurück. bei "time and space" gehts noch, da hört man lou gut. bei music box, wo noch ein man mitsingt, ist es fast nicht erkennbar, dass es lou ist. sehr im hintergrund ist da die stimme. ansonsten sind beide track sehr ruhig, ohne firlifans
